Welcome to Prisca’s Home Nursery

Hello! My name is Prisca, and I am a proud Ofsted Registered Childminder based in Ponders End, Enfield. French is my first language, and I bring over 5 years of experience in childcare, including more than 6 years as a dedicated childminder, giving me a wealth of knowledge and deep understanding of early years development.

I hold the Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce, have completed the Level 3 Designated Safeguarding Lead training, and hold full certification in Paediatric First Aid and CPR. I have recently graduated with a Level 6 Degree in Health and Social Sciences, and am now furthering my studies towards a Master of Business Administration (MBA). I am fully insured through PACEY and Childcare.com, and continuously update my training to ensure I follow the highest standards of practice.

My Teaching Philosophy

My practice is guided by the new EYFS Statutory Framework (2025–2026), which sets ambitious standards for care, learning, and development. Alongside this, my approach is deeply inspired by the Reggio Emilia and Montessori philosophies, I believe every child is capable, curious, and unique. I respect the environment as a "third teacher," encourage independence and hands-on exploration, and follow each child’s interests to nurture their natural curiosity, creativity, and love of learning. Childhood is precious, and I believe it should be filled with wonder, play, and joyful discovery.

Our Care & Services

We provide care for children aged 9 months to 12 years old, supporting every stage from babyhood through to primary school age. My flexible service includes:
 Full-day and half-day care
 School pick-up and after-school care
 Holiday and weekend care
 Out-of-hours provision to suit family needs

We operate from my warm, safe home setting on Durants Road, Enfield, a space designed to feel welcoming, homely, and rich with opportunity for learning through play both indoors and outdoors.

About Me

As a mother of four, I understand firsthand the love, patience, and care children need to thrive. Raising my own children has taught me so much about individual personalities, different needs, and the beautiful journey of watching each child grow. This personal experience, combined with my professional qualifications, means I approach every family with empathy, reliability, and genuine dedication.

I am known for my calm, patient, and nurturing nature, creating a safe, loving environment where every child feels secure, valued, and happy. The safety and well-being of your child are always my highest priorities, and I follow strict safeguarding, health, and safety protocols aligned with EYFS and Ofsted requirements.

Parents consistently tell me they appreciate my professionalism, my open communication, and the positive difference I make in their children’s lives. It is my greatest joy to support each child’s growth, celebrate their milestones, and work in true partnership with you.

We fully understand just how important good nutrition is for every child’s healthy growth, energy, and development. That is why we provide balanced, wholesome and nutritious meals, giving children all the goodness they need to stay happy, active and ready to thrive throughout the day.

Wrap-around School-care
We are pleased to offer a trusted after-school club service, providing reliable school collection and care for children attending St. Mary's Catholic Primary School and Alma Primary School. You can have complete peace of mind knowing your child will be safely collected and cared for until you are able to pick them up.

 

Holiday Club

During half-term breaks, the Christmas holidays, Easter holidays, and throughout the long summer break, we offer a wonderful variety of fun, engaging activities for children to enjoy and explore here at Prisca's Home Nursery.
